Justifying the Need for Remote Monitoring System (RMS)

Every modern company has a Data Center. It can be self-hosted or outsourced to professional co-location facilities. IT staff are tasked with maintaining the security and health of Data Centers since their conception.


Increasing global operations by hosted applications make it important to maintain zero downtime. A study by Uptime Institute in 2013 shows that 44% of outage incidents happen outside of normal business hours.

It means that IT staff will have to rotate to maintain 24×7 coverage increasing personnel requirements and costs. Interconnectivity and bandwidth have allowed the possibility of Remote Monitoring and Management of off-site Data Centers.
